San Francisco

I've been to San Francisco a couple of times before, but I'd never really done the 'tourist' thing, and having Phil with me seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so.

So we spent our days on the beach, at the bridge, at Fisherman's Wharf, and on the multitude of transport options - ferries, buses, subway trains, streetcars and cable cars.

The gay stuff hasn't changed all that much... the Lone Star and Eagle seem much as I remember them. Daddy's has had a name change, but again seems the same, if a little more overcrowded. The Powerhouse was new to me, and is probably OK when you're in the mood for loud dance music! We didn't seem to be able to find anywhere to drink after 2am though!

Highlight of the week for me was a trip to the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom theme park. I got to go on several rollercoasters, and they had special seats for fatties too :-). Phil hates rides, but the wildlife and dolphin and whale shows kept us both entertained.
